Becky Carter

Animal SOS was founded in 2011 by Becky Carter. Becky’s lifelong love of animals made working to see pets in loving homes a natural second career. 

With a degree in finance, 30 years as a small business owner, having served on multiple non-profit boards, her background provided an understanding of the business side of a heart string pulling endeavor.

Our vision was not to be a traditional rescue or shelter. Instead Animal SOS has been dedicated to a simple but powerful mission: ensuring pets get to stay with the people who love them. 

Anna-Claire Daniels

Originally from East Tennessee, AC discovered her passion for animal welfare early on, fostering pets for her local shelter while still in middle school. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Social Work, believing strongly in advocating for both people and animals.

In 2015, a visit to a Best Friends Animal Society conference sparked a turning point in her career. Shortly after, AC relocated to Columbus to pursue her calling full time. For the past 10 years, she’s been proud to serve with Animal SOS, working to improve the lives of animals and the people who love them.
