Better from our City

Ten and a half years ago I started my journey into animal welfare. We collaborated with Columbus Animal Care and Control on programs that helped animals and the community, and I served on the Animal Control Advisory Board.

In May 2021 I witnessed a dangerous dog appeal unlike any in years of service — a case treated differently from precedent, with pressure to euthanize before due process and inconsistent testimonies.

This treatment continues a pattern of harassment toward Animal SOS staff and reflects a lack of professional partnership from city management. Citizens and animals deserve better than games and wasted time. We do this work for the dogs and cats who need a second chance, and our community deserves better from our city.
